We’re bringing the stage to you! Register to receive access to a filmed performance of our one-act play One Destiny. Perfect for students ages 8 and older as well as adult history learners. In One Destiny, you will learn about President Lincoln’s assassination from two men who were there. Actor Harry Hawk and Ford’s Theatre co-owner Harry Ford revisit the events of April 14, 1865. The two men portray multiple characters, as they explore the events of the assassination from the perspectives of other people present at the theatre that night. As they reconstruct the sequence of events, they grapple with the question: Could John Wilkes Booth have been stopped? This 40-minute performance explores the key facts of the assassination while capturing the emotions of that fateful night. After registering, you’ll receive a YouTube link where you can watch the previously filmed performance. You’ll have access to the recording until June 15, 2022. Teachers and Schools who wish to show One Destiny On Demand in their classroom may purchase a viewing for a flat rate of $30. Schools who qualify for the Free Field Trip Program also qualify for complimentary access to One Destiny On Demand. To qualify for the Free Field Trip Program, your school must be a:
