Call for Applications!

Girl Rising is now accepting applications for the 2022 cohort of Future Rising Fellows. The Future Rising Fellowship is a year-long virtual program for individuals aged 17-24 who are working as activists, educators, community organizers, local leaders or storytellers at the intersection of climate change, environmental justice and gender equity - particularly girls’ education. The program supports young leaders with financial resources, mentoring, learning events and workshops. During the year-long program, Fellows create stories in various media (film, photo essay, graphic novel, investigative journalism) focused on the vital role that girls and women play in climate action and activism. Girl Rising creates opportunities for Fellows to share their voices on some of the world’s most influential platforms, and amplifies their work through our network. FUTURE RISING launched last year and is a storytelling and social action program designed to highlight the important connections between girls’ education and climate change. Our mission is to drive investment for girls’ education and to harness the power of educated girls to tackle climate change.
